KUNDALINI YOGA

VITALITY & FOCUS

Kundalini Yoga has been my daily practice since years.  The combination of breathwork, dynamic movements, meditation and mantra have increased my awareness of how my nervous system responds to stressful situations, calmed my reactions, and led me to experience wonderful stillness and union with the universe. Kundalini is a whole system of poking and provoking the nervous system to build resilience to life's everyday challenges off the mat. Sadhana, or daily practice, is an integral part of Kundalini Yoga as, just like lifting weights, the nervous system must be trained to respond intelligently and not react automatically from past situations.

YIN YOGA

AWARENESS & ACCEPTANCE

Cultivate conscious attention to sensations in your unique body while holding gentle supported poses creating strength and fluidity in the joints, bones and connective tissues.  Yin Yoga is a Taoist based practice on the ancient meridian system found in Qigong. Using props such as pillows, bolsters, blocks, straps and whatever you might have in your space, we will support the body in about 6 different postures holding each for about 3-5 minutes to target stress in specific areas to encourage hydration of fascia, ligaments, joints, tendons and the strength of bone density.  Highly recommended for anyone with lower back or hip challenges.

BREATHWORK & MEDITATION

NEUTRALIZE & ENERGIZE

Build resilience in the nervous system and restructure the neurons in your brain through simple breath exercises and meditations from Kundalini Yoga. This is a seated practice with a short stretching warm-up followed by a breathwork sequence and concluding with a meditation.  This class is appropriate for anyone with a body who wants less stress and more focus in everyday life. Learn how to respond instead of react to life's challenges over time.

YOGA NIDRA & RESTORATIVE YOGA

RELAX & REBOOT

Yoga Nidra is a form of meditation to awaken our intuition and connection to the source.  We start by gently moving the body, followed by a breathwork sequence and moving into a supported savasana or lying down position. While lying in savasana,  you will be guided through a meditation that will restore, relax and reboot the nervous system.

Restorative Yoga is a form of deep relaxation where the body rests in supported poses in silence. This form of yoga is best experienced in a 1:1 format as setting up the poses for each unique body is time intensive and depending on the the pose flow, might require a lot of props to find the best positioning.

Yoga Nidra and Restorative Yoga are two forms of yoga that have been scientifically studied to help with weight loss, stress reduction and can improve the overall well-being of the whole body.
